My Favourite Things, Bed Linen

Obviously in my line of work I spend a huge amount of time sourcing fabulous products. I’m obsessed with all objects of beauty and if they can make us feel good also, even better! Bed linen definitely ticks both of these boxes and is therefore a particular hot spot for me. Putting together a well styled bed that makes you never want to get up in the morning is no accident, and beautiful quality linen is key.

I often get asked about where I source my fabulous products from so it seemed only fair to share my expertise and passion and begin a ‘My Favourite Things’ series and share the love. Following are my top ten (in no particular order) ‘go to’ bed linen suppliers.

Being all about everyday luxury Cultiver sings my song. Offering stone washed bedding in a range of fourteen colours you can cater to the needs of all members of the family. Made from 100% linen woven from European flax and pre-washed for softness and durability. Start with one or two colours and layer with throws, cushions and pillows to achieve a true feeling of softness and luxury in the bedroom. Have a look here.

Perth based Bed Tonic produces sheets, quilts, donna covers and euros that are 100% pure french linen. Not only am I a lover of linen (can you tell?!) but Bed Tonic had me at ‘Navy Ticking Stripe’. The combination of the two can only mean bedding nirvana. Anyone who knows me knows that I can’t go past a good ticking. Mix and match these breezy delights for some soft elegance. No list of bed linen would be complete without Adairs. Whilst not niche or boutique like the other entries here, Adairs offers reliably great bed linen at an affordable price point. With on trend colours, patterns and neutrals Adairs truly addresses all your bedding needs. I especially love their range of cushions and throws which make it a one stop shop for pulling together a beautiful looking bedroom. Don’t forget their kid’s range either, which is updated regularly and is quite delicious. Have a look here.

Aside from the to die for artwork (which I have styled entire rooms around) Castle and Things brings you quilt covers, sheets and pillow cases that are all handprinted and made in Australia by the eternally creative and fabulous Rachel Castle. Our one entry that is not home grown. Anthropologie rates a mention if you feel like creating a gorgeous, layered bed with a difference. From delicate pin tucks to cascading throws, there’s a lot to see in this collection that includes a dazzling variety of fabrics and patterns. A little bit boho and a little bit vintage inspired, these are something out of the ordinary. With loads of different colours and styles to choose from it is a bit of a favourite of mine for tween or teenage girls.
